Participants on this enjoyable, short Internal IMS Auditor training course will receive a great insight into integrated auditing of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 integrated management systems. This three-day course strengthens the knowledge and skill of the audit team, increasing auditors' knowledge of the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Standards. It underlines how they fit within the processes; with a radically changed approach to auditing. Your organisation's audits will become more integrated, by adopting SQMC's methodology based on process flowcharts. Progressing to process auditing will open up the whole activity of auditing – and your organisation will reap the benefits. Moreover, auditing an Integrated Management System (IMS) will result in less down-time than having three separate audits.
Your organisation's entire auditing culture can be transformed after key staff have taken part in this Internal Integrated Auditor training course. Streamlined processes mean less documentation is required, and you can further develop auditing practises that promote positivity – which equals more positive feedback. When approached correctly, auditing can develop in a way that is not adversarial. The audit team will be regarded as helpful – part of the same body, all working in unity to the same ends. The auditor as an individual can portray auditing as a service rather than an inspection, or an occasion to 'trip people up'. This is a philosophy which SQMC have passionately championed for many years.
If you need to get more value out of your integrated audits and want your internal audit function to be more efficient and effective in delivering positive results, then you will benefit from this course.
This integrated training course was designed by Ian Hannah FCQI, the SQMC Director of Programmes during our early years as a department in the Management Science Faculty of the University of Stirling; and has been continually updated to meet industry requirements. It is based on the 'Guidelines for Management Systems Auditing', ISO 19,011; and – when run on an in-house basis – this Internal IMS Auditor course can normally include a guided live audit on Day 3, if logistics permit.
3 days (9.00 – 17.00)
NB: A condensed 2-day version of this course is available as an in-house option, for those with a good prior working knowledge of the Standards.
