The PAS 125 Standard was developed jointly by Thatcham and BSi to improve the quality of vehicle repairs and sets minimum standards for competent personnel, equipment, repair methods, quality of materials and internal checks and controls. Accreditation can be sought on three levels, i.e. from minor cosmetic damage to major structural repairs involving complex materials and techniques.
Bodyshops that meet the standards specified in PAS 125 can apply for a licence to use the Thatcham BSi Kitemark, an internationally recognised symbol of quality.
Experienced sources claim that this will help safeguard clients’ business, and will also have many other business benefits as customers learn more about PAS125 and respect and trust garages displaying the PAS125 sign.
SQMC have experienced staff who can provide initial consultancy (gap analysis), conduct Internal Audits for you, or train your staff to do the Internal Audits, themselves. Contact us for more details and assistance.
