The news this month, when all the news on TV & newspapers is doom & gloom, is that SQMC has had it’s busiest January ever! Perhaps it’s the publication of the new ISO9001:2008, published just before Christmas, that has re-awakened interest in this worldwide Quality Management System. Who knows? The fact is more and more small and very small companies are now recognising that a system to help their product or service maintain consistency is just what their customers want!

After the hyped publicity for “Six-sigma” and “Lean Six Sigma” it’s refreshing that some companies just want some assistance in basic Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to assist their factory quality control. Already this year we have been approached by two companies, in entirely different sectors, to run in-house training for them. We would be happy to discuss how SPC can help your organisation, too.
