In recent months we have been discussing Quality ‘gurus’ – especially Dr Juran.
He and others such as W. Edwards Deming and Philip Crosby have made such an impact in the last quarter of the 20th century that their work is embodied in Quality Management training, destined to be discussed, argued over, and appreciated by Quality practitioners the world over.

Recently Crosby, who died in 2001, has attracted another wave of interest.

SQMC has, as a result, conducted a review of Crosby’s “Absolutes of Quality Management” and his “14 Steps” – very popular in the 80s and 90s – and given his ideas a 21st century ‘makeover’, resulting in what we call the “CROSBY-Plus” programme.
