A 1-day introductory course based on IRCA 2121 Guidelines
Aim
The aim if this OH&S course is to provide participants with an overview of the purpose and requirements of BS OHSAS 18,001:2007 as a tool for managing their risks.
Who should attend?
It is intended for those requiring an introduction to the OH&S management systems, and for all levels of staff - including top management. Those involved in the design, implementation and continual improvement of the OH&S MS will find this course helpful, as will those who plan to take other OH&S-based training courses, such as Internal Health and Safety Auditor, or OH&S MS Auditor/Lead Auditor.

By the end of the course, participants should be able to:
* Describe the purpose of an occupational health and safety management system, and explain the legislative framework relevant to such an OH&S MS
* Explain the purpose and intent of OH&S 18,001
* Describe the BS OHSAS 18,001:2007 requirements

* Outline the concepts and approaches to risk management
* The purpose of an OH&S MS in managing health risks and safety risks resulting from the business operations.
* The content of BS OHSAS 18,001:2007 specification and OHSAS 18,002 guidelines.
* Key definitions and terminology in BS OHSAS 18,001:2007.
